Bag that FEEDs

Cinched's fav book/gym/grocery bag is my FEED 100 because I can pretty much lug it around anywhere. On my daily surf through the Sartorialist I came across this incredibly cute and perfectly cinched couple. Instantly I fell in love with her shoes and Feed 2 Kenya Bag. The brown canvas and leather straps will take you right into fall.
"Handcrafted in Kenya by a coop of women and deaf Kenyans, each FEED 2 Kenya bag includes a $100 donation to the UN World Food Program's School Feeding operations in Kenya. Therefore, not only does this purchase support women and deaf Kenyan artisans, but the donation provides nutritious school meals to two Kenyan children for one year"(FEED).

LBD of the Week

Well, hello gorgeous! On my daily surf through Netaporter I have found a perfect Little Beige Dress. A sucker for little black dresses, I've decided to venture into the light side.
Isn't this Diane von Furstenberg Davina chiffon dress simply elegant and perfectly cinched?

Cinched Baby, Spoiler Alert

As of five months ago I've had the honor of adding  the title of godmother to my name. Annina Stefanelli: blogger/ food lover/Godmother to beautiful one year old, Gianna. A bit concerned I wasn't qualified for this job  (achem, I'm still in my early twankies and well I'm not even sure what being a Godparent entails) I recall what role my own godmother had in my life...aside from being the source of half of my jewelry collection, I have fond memories of baking with her every Sunday.
So I ask myself...aside from spoiling her, what shall my activity be with Gianna?
As my godmother shared her love of baking with me, I shall share with Gianna my love of literature & travel. There is no other perfect way to start than with famous Czech artist, illustrator, and author Miroslav Sasek's This is book series. Though she is just about to turn 1, tis never too early!

"The first in the series of This is books, This is Paris is a delightful tour of 1950s Paris from a child's eye view. A three-week vacation in Paris gave Sasek the idea for writing travel books for children, and originally he only intended to produce three books in the series: This is Paris, This is London and This is Rome"- This is M. Sasek

"This is London is the second This is book and undoubtedly one of the best. Sasek concentrates on the things he likes best: people, costume, transport and local details that somehow come together to form a whole impression of the city that still seems quite accurate today." - This is Sasek

"M. Sasek planned to end the This is series here before he realized how successful (and how much fun to do) they would be. He went on to complete 18 titles in the series."- This is M. Sasek

Another one of my favorites is, of course, This is Texas. Since Gianna resides overseas, this is a perfect way to show her Texas before she comes to visit soon.

I've acknowledged that setting a good example and serving as a spiritual guide are part of the tasks...but my favorite part asides from making goo goo noises and squeezing her adorably chubby feet all day, is the spoiling Gianna with adorable clothes & shoes...Its my way to share with her my love of fashion..wink wink. I finally have an excuse to  browse around Kitson Kids and Gilt Children, through both of which I discovered my latest obsession, Trumpette.

Style File: KJRM

Growing up with two brothers and an Italian father Cinched has always held great respect and appreciation for uomo fashion. One of my favorite aspects of  Rome are the bronzed men trotting the sidewalks in perfectly tailored suits; even in the scorching Roman summer their ties are perfectly knotted and coats beautifully cinched. It's only suiting that we venture into the world of menswear with our first male Stylefile feature, handsome lad:  Kalon Joseph Reid McMahon
Chaneling a neat tailored Italian, KJRM caught our attention through mutual friends. Always cinched with an Hermes belt and perfectly tailored suit, Kalon lightly tweaks classic menswear with a bold watch, a pair of Toms, or a Sarah Aghili piece (Muse to local jewelry designer Sarah Aghili, Sarah's top selling mens bracelet is the KJRM cuff). A rarity in Houston, where traditional menswear lacks tailoring making men appear uncomfortable in suits, KJRM boldly stands out.  As he changes the city of Houston, not only bringing new types of establishments but gracing the city with style as well, KJRM shares his passions, inspirations, and love of Toms.

Jeffrey Crush

Jeffrey Campbell, one of my top fav shoe designers, never ceases to surpise me. I can always count on a new shoe crush when I shop around his designs. Not only are his designs unique and trend driven, the prices are incredibly reasonable, hence, why I always have a crush on a Jeffrey.

"The canvas half-shoe-half-bootie upper is comprised of a tiny peep toe sliver and back tie detail that unties for easy entrance and secure adjustable fit. This proven Jeffrey Campbell pattern is now available up on this MONDO wooden front platform!" - Solestruck

Solar Glow

This mini glows in the dark you say?
By far the coolest LWD (little white dress)...

"What better way to boogie the night away than clad in this ultramod solar-powered mini? Not only does this sleek number look extra-sexy on the dance floor, but it also soaks up the sun’s rays during the day so that it can set your curves aglow at night! Designed by Despina Papadopoulos of Studio 5050, the Day-For-Night Solar Dress is all about catching some rays in style."- Ecouterre
