Bride Crush

There is nothing more delightful and dear to my heart than celebrating the love of dear friends. It was this June I developed a major crush on a couple of Oscar de la Renta dresses darling bride Caroline tied the knot in. Caroline kicked off her wedding celebrations with a silk faille one shoulder dress from Oscar's Spring 2011 Bridal collection and Louboutin pumps. The sculptural one shoulder number complimented the navy hued ambiance.

"I had always thought about having a black and white wedding, but for the summer I decided that it would be better to go with a little softer color. Navy is one of my favorite colors and thought it would look so pretty with the flower colors and my white dress."- Caroline

"My style is a mix between contemporary and classic. Some days I like to dress with a classic look and other I am the mood for something more trendy and different. It was fun to mix up the style that weekend and have a little bit of a different look for each night."

Caroline enchanted family and loved ones as she trotted down the aisle in an tulle strapless gown with satin organza embroidery from Oscar de la Renta's Spring 2010 bridal collection. I must confess I got the wedding giddies watching Caroline graze down the aisle in the stunning yet delicate frock.

"When I first started my adventure to find a dress, I knew I wanted something fitted and strapless at the top and in between a-lign and ballgown on the wasnt until I visited Casa De Novia that I found the perfect dress. I had originally wanted an off-white dress, and picked a dress that only came in white. I am so happy that I ended up having a white dress, because it was perfect for the summer!"

"Some brides like to change their dresses during the night, but I loved my dress so much I didnt want to take it off. Instead I changed my sash from white to a french blue for the reception. I loved working with everyone at Casa De Novia, including the owner Luvi Wheelock. I had the best experience buying a dress there, and could not have been happier!"

It is evident a wedding gown is perfect when the sanguine bride twirls and dances all evening with her loved ones.
