Gatsby is Back...and with Tiffany

In my younger and more vulnerable years, my stylist gave me some, joke. I've never had a stylist, but since we are referring to the Great Gatsby in this post, I thought it only appropriate to begin with the novel's first words. For those of you who live under a literary rock, one of the greatest American novels of all time is being remade into a  movie, for the second or third time. I know there is a random made for tv movie out there but we will ignore it. The first film adaptation of Fitzgerald's most famous piece starred Robert Redford and Mia Farrow. In the works is a remake starring Leo Dicaprio as Jay, Isla Fisher as Myrtle, and Tobey Maguire as narrator, Nick Carraway. Word on the street is, the cast will be adorned by Tiffany & Co bling (read bellow).
On a side note and more importantly, for all of you young adults that enjoy roaring like the 1920's you must attend Urban Green's fall soiree, The Green Gatsby, a dazzling event Cinched at the Waist is Chairing. To purchase tickets click away.

Diamond jeweller Tiffany & Co are decking out the cast of Baz Luhrmann’s latest film, The Great Gatsby, in one-off jewels and pearls.
As if the thought of Carey Mulligan, Leonardo Dicaprio, Tobey Maguire and Isla Fisher starring together in the remake of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s legendary novel The Great Gatsby wasn’t exciting enough, news reaches us that American jeweller Tiffany & Co are outfitting the cast in one-of-a-kind diamond jewels.
The new adaptation of the Twenties novel is being directed by fantastical director Baz Luhrman, the man responsible for Moulin Rouge and Romeo & Juliet. Luhrman and the film’s production designer Catherine Martin approached Tiffany’s last year, who have designed one-off platinum and diamond-encrusted rings, headpieces, bracelets and pearl necklaces, inspired by its archives.
“It’s a natural role for Tiffany,” Jon King, Tiffany & Co executive vice president, told WWD. “Tiffany was certainly part of this era. The brand was at the center of the parties of the rich and famous.”
We can think of at least one supermodel turning green with envy at the blingy collaboration. Kate Moss, whose engagement ring is thought to be a replica of the one given by Fitzgerald to his wife Zelda, described her recent wedding to Jamie Hince as “rock’n’roll Great Gatsby"- Telegraph.
