Manolo is Back...Shoe looks like a lady

If you can still recall the late nineties and early 2000 must have shoes, then you remember that Manolo was a household name, thanks to Carrie Bradshaw. I must confess I really never was into MB's...they were always a little prude for my shoe taste. I love flair and edge, something the label veers off from. And it just so happens that like me, other shoe shoppers have agreed, especially since the red sole began dominating the market a good five years ago. We were all searching for en edge, a sexy statement shoe as opposed to a classic lady-like look.  According to nytimes, shoe designs are turning back in the classic and pretty direction once more, "“Fashion had to turn on its ugly heel and return to beautiful shoes,” Mr. Talley said, citing among the appealing elements of Manolo Blahnik shoes their sleek lines and absence of gimmickry."
Looks like us slutty shoe buyers are no longer going to be a la mode. We better prude it up and start looking for classy shoes. Damn it.

“Manolo’s shoes are very much in the spirit of this moment’s clothes, pared down, with simple lines, and I hate to say ladylike, but classic,” said Linda Fargo, the senior vice president for women’s fashion at Bergdorf Goodman, where recent deliveries of a particular Manolo Blahnik pump sold out so fast, the store was forced to institute a waiting list (nytimes).

My picks for looking like a lady this fall has gots to be Manolo Blahnik's CAMPY. Isn't this patent leather taper toe pump just made of a doll? Imagine sporting with a midi length skirt, a- lined  dress, or even a drop waisted style reminiscent of the twenties...

For the pencil skirt leather skirts or leggings, how about pairing a bold pointed toe... In patent or in suede, these pumps make a great pair for fall, especially with the printed or colored denims out there.
